Phoenix, AZ—The Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) wants to remind you that tax returns are due on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, which is one month away.
ADOR highly recommends that taxpayers file electronically and use direct deposit. Taxpayers receive their refund up to six times faster when choosing e-file and direct deposit. It is more secure, more efficient, and significantly faster than paper returns.

If you need more time to file, submit a Form 204 on or before April 18 to request an extension. As a reminder, an extension does not grant more time to pay taxes owed. If you have already been granted an extension through the IRS, you do not need to submit a separate State of Arizona extension request. Simply check the box on your return indicating the approved federal extension.
