Modifications Being Completed for Corporate E-Filing in Arizona

Corporations Will Have E-File Option Starting January 2020

The Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) is completing system modifications to start accepting electronically filed corporate income tax returns in January 2020. The e-file solution will also include partnership tax returns.

The introduction of corporate e-filing will provide businesses with an easier and more convenient way of filing  tax returns.

In addition to adjustments being made to ADOR’s e-file computer system, the agency has been finalizing corresponding forms and schedules electronically for tax year 2019, as well as testing and approving more than a dozen software vendors that will be available to companies requiring assistance in the filing process.

Legislation signed into law in 2017 gives companies an e-file option in 2020 for tax year 2019 and becomes mandatory for corporations starting in 2021 for tax year 2020 returns.

In tax year 2018, 183,000 corporate tax returns were filed with the Department of Revenue.
