TPT License Renewal: The Arizona Department of Revenue is advising businesses to renew their transaction privilege tax (TPT) licenses, which are due January 1, 2023, and penalties will be assessed for all renewals after January 31.

Neeraj Deshpande

Neeraj Deshpande was hired as ADOR’s Deputy Director in April 2021. He has served at ADOR since 2016 in both Program and Support Divisions. Prior to Neeraj’s hire as the ADOR Deputy Director, he held the positions of ADOR Assistant Director for Taxpayer Services and ADOR Assistant Director of Administrative Services.

Neeraj has served in various positions in the State of Arizona since March 2012, previously as Chief Financial Officer at Arizona Department of Veterans Services, Accounting Director at Arizona Department of Education, and Director of Business and Finance at Arizona Department of Environmental Quality.

Given his knowledge and experience in Finance, Budget, ADOR Programs, Process Improvement and Operations, Neeraj oversees the Taxpayer Services Division, Processing Division Tax Data Management, Southern Regional Office, the Office of Economic Research and Analysis, and Administrative Services. He also serves as the Chairman of Economic Estimates Commission, and the Chairman of the Property Tax Oversight Committee.

Neeraj earned his Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Auditing from The University of Bombay, BBA Accounting, and an MBA from The University of Louisiana at Monroe. In addition, Neeraj has completed the ASU Certified Public Manager® Program.
