Kathy Gamboa joined the Agency in 2000 and has served as Assistant Director for the Processing Division and took the helm of  the Education and Compliance Division in 2021.

Prior to joining ADOR, Kathy spent more than 20 years in the private sector in telecommunications and higher education. She spent ten years leading HR and Call Center operations for AT&T and Charter Communications, driving efficiencies to receive the National Cable Television Certification of Excellence in Call Center Operations for a 24/7/365 operation supporting Western States. Working at Apollo Inc., for ten years, Kathy supported University ground strategy operations optimizing the University footprint of 90 plus locations, ran the College of Security and Criminal Justice, driving tactical execution of a Nationally recognized competency model, new program creation and delivery, while optimizing a $6 million reduction in program costs. During her tenure she received the recognition of the Top 10 Power Women in Nevada, 2020 Visionary, and a Woman of Distinction by the NAWBO.

She holds a DBA/ABD in Business Management, and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and an undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada, Reno.
