E-Services for Tax Professionals

A tax return professional or preparer is a person who prepares or completes tax returns for others, including certified public accountants, attorneys, enrolled agents

Paid tax return preparers who prepare more than 10 clients generally must file those returns electronically.

Taxpayers are ultimately responsible for the accuracy of their tax return, however, tax professionals are responsible for ensuring they comply with all applicable laws.

If a tax professional offers refund anticipation loans, these professionals should note that Arizona will “offset” a refund to satisfy obligations owed to the state or another qualifying entity, such as the IRS. It is the responsibility of the refund anticipation loan originator to ask the taxpayer if an offset may occur.
