Healthy Forest Production Tax Credit

An individual or corporate income tax credit is available if all the following apply:

  • The taxpayer has a current Healthy Forest Enterprise Incentive Certification and Memorandum of Understanding with the Arizona Commerce Authority.
  • The taxpayer process qualifying forest products from a qualifying project from and after December 31, 2020 and before January 1, 2031.
  • The facility that processes qualifying forest products is located within Arizona.

Approval and certification from the Arizona Department of Revenue is required prior to claiming the tax credit based on applications that must be submitted between January 2 and January 31 of the following calendar year of production. No more than $2 million can be approved by the department in a calendar year.
