TPT Filers-Please Submit Your Return - December 2019

Taxpayers can file now and schedule payments up until the deadline.

The Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) reminds transaction privilege tax filers that returns are due.

Avoid the worry and hassle of mailing your return by using AZTaxes.gov, which is available at night and weekends. Our online filing and paying service is free, fast and easy — allowing payments to be scheduled up until the second to last business day.

Arizona Electronic Filing Option for Corporate Taxpayers to Begin in January 2020

Thousands of businesses will have an electronic filing option for their Arizona income taxes starting next month, which will provide a more convenient way of filing their tax returns.

The Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) has completed final system testing to begin accepting tax year 2019 corporate and partnership e-filed returns in early January. The department also has worked with more than a dozen software vendors to have their systems in place for companies.

Two Weeks Remaining for Transaction Privilege Tax License Renewals

As a follow-up to an information bulletin from last month, the Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) is prompting businesses to renew their TPT licenses, which are due January 1, 2020.

TPT licenses are valid for one calendar year, from January 1 through December 31. Licenses renewed within the calendar year must still be renewed at the start of the following calendar year.

Items from Dormant Safe Deposit Boxes to be Auctioned Off by ADOR on Dec. 6

The Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) will hold a public auction of unclaimed property from abandoned safe deposit boxes on Friday, December 6.

The sale will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sierra Auction, 3570 Grand Avenue in Phoenix, and will feature  thousands of items that have not been claimed for many years – including 10-ounce gold bars, collectible U.S. currency, diamond rings and necklaces, as well as precious stone jewelry sets and other unique items.

Arizona Tax Preparer Indicted for Allegedly Preparing Fraudulent Returns

PHOENIX -- Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced a State Grand Jury indicted Roberto De La O, a tax preparer, with fraudulent schemes and artifices, preparing false returns, taking the identity of another, and failure to file taxes. De La O is accused of preparing false Arizona personal income tax returns between 2014 and 2017.
